This week, we have discussed issues such as building faith to endure the storms of life, being delivered from sin and depravity by Jesus, staying focused on Jesus amidst the chaos surrounding us, and the simplicity of sharing the Gospel through our stories.
With that in mind, reflect and meditate on the following questions:
1. What are a few of the storms now raging in your life? If you're truly honest, can you say that you have given them to God and are standing in faith? If not, prayerfully ask God to show you ways in which you can do so.
2. Whether it was more or less dramatic than his conversion, have you had an experience like the Hurting Man? If so, take the time to write out your story today. If not, prayerfully ask God to help you and get up with the pastors or another trustworthy friend.
3. Have you ever been so consumed by the things going on around you that you lose sight of Jesus? What types of steps can you take to remedy the situation?
4. Have you ever felt like you or your testimony wasn’t glorious enough to share with others? What steps can you take to trash that lie and share your story with others? List 3 people you would like to share your Gospel story with and begin praying for them and the opportunity to share your story with them.
5. Take just a few more minutes to praise God. Thank Him for who He is and all He has done for you. Praise Him for being so much bigger than us and our situations. Praise Him through your misunderstanding and lack of faith. Confess anything that has been tugging at your Spirit this week. Ask God to meet your needs and trust Him to do so. Now go share your story.
