Reflection and Meditation

This week, we have discussed issues like fasting, becoming a new creation, taking time out to rest, displaying God‘s glory, and investing in others. With that in mind, reflect and meditate on the following questions.

 1. Have you ever considered a fast? If so, take a few minutes and write out your experience? Is there anything replacing God in your life now? Pray about whether or not you should fast this and give it to God.

2. Are you a new creation through Jesus Christ? How does it make you feel that you can not only be patched up but be completely healed?

3. Do you value rest? What are the advantages to taking a personal Sabbath, a day of rest?

4. Have you ever felt like God was singling you out among the crowd, for the positive or the negative? Were you able to trust God in the face of such attention? Did you use the situation for God’s glory?

5. Do you take every opportunity to invest or encourage others? How does our treatment of others display Jesus in us? You may be the only “Jesus” people see during their day. How does this statement make you feel?
