Reflection and Meditation

This week, we have discussed issues like laying down your cross when you get tired or bored, becoming consistent in our relationship building with Jesus, the willingness of Jesus to heal us, the difference between a partial and a complete healing, and hating sin while loving sinners.

With that in mind, reflect and meditate on the following questions:

 1. Do you ever grow weary of being a follower of Jesus? Why is resting healthy for your spirit while throwing off Jesus and walking away not healthy for your spirit?

 2. Have you been consistent with your quiet time in the past? Have you been consistently reading and thinking about these church-wide devotions? If not, how can you change that? If so, what can you do to continue to do so?

 3. Jesus is always willing to help and heal us, whether in this life or the one to come. How does such good news make you feel?

 4. In the past, have you been satisfied with a partial healing (over a physical issue) and stopped short of a complete healing (over your heart and spirit)? How can you change that?

5. What are some ways in which we can despise sin but love the sinner?
