At its inception, the LifeTogether devotion was a glimpse into the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ (specifically the book of Mark) and what they mean for us as Refugees. Nearly eight chapters and two months later, we shifted gears and focused on the “Back to the Basics” series that John (the Pastor not the Baptist) preached through the winter. Then I got out of the way for Jason (the wiser and wittier) as he guided us through such relevant topics as the Fruits of the Spirit, when God doesn’t make sense, the trials and triumphs of grace, and putting our faith in action.
As the torch is once again passed to me, my desire is to complete what was once left undone. To finish exploring the message and methods of Jesus through the book of Mark. (You may review the October and November devotions if need be.) One minor change to the formula: there will be an Application to end each day with. This will simply be a practical way to apply what you learned that day.
Thank you again for allowing me to serve you. And thank God that we at Refuge have LifeTogether. Press on-
Today, spend the time you would usually spend on the devotional praying that the LORD will open your spiritual eyes, ears, and heart as we explore the remainder of the Gospel of Mark. If you still have time left over, review the previous entries on Mark from October and November.
