Bless Who?

Romans 12:14 (NLT)

Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them.

Yeah… That’s really in the Bible…

This is a hard pill to swallow but we have to somehow choke it down. God shows us love so that we can show love to others.

Especially the unlovable.

People that have said disparaging things about “yo’ momma.”

People who made fun of that little buck you killed last year.

People that have hurt you.

People that have stolen from you.

People that have cursed you.

People that have ruined you…

God calls us to bless these people and to pray that He will bless them.

I want you to spend a few minutes thinking about someone who has hurt you. Think about the last person in the world you would ever want to heap blessings on. Now pray for them. Pray for blessings on their life. Pray that God blesses them.

I’m not asking you to do anything crazy… It’s right there in Romans 12…

If you can do this, God will no doubt release you from your feelings about that person. You might finally be able to forgive. You might finally be able to move on.

Give it a shot…
